The QUANCOM® USBOPTO64IN board has 64 optical isolated inputs and is designed for industrial purposes.
Optocouplers protect inputs up to 500 VoltsYour personal computer is protected against damage in case of overvoltage by galvanic isolation. These optocouplers are designed as alternating current optocouplers which means that you can choose the polarity of input signals optionally .The input voltage range is adaptable because of a restistance network plug-in. Feel free to tell us about your requirements concerning the input voltage range in your order.
Input state changing The 64 inputs are equipped with input flip-flops which detect quick input state changes or remove switch bounce.

Each single port of an USBOPTO64IN opto/relay module is equipped with LEDs for optical function controls which enables to show changes of output or input levels.
You can see the module state through a configuration LED, i.e. intitialisation of the operating system, reading or writing accesses or non-evaluated input edge changes are shown. Through simple assembly in a rack you can use the attachement as a standalone equipment in the laboratory area or as a mobile equipment for a notebook anytime. The current supply occurs either through an external adapter or through an USB bus. The double stick strips for the inputs complete the flexibility of the module. You don't need any knowledge in driver development. We implemented a command set which is compatible for all operating systems.
Additional FeaturesAs all USB Optocoupler Relaymodules each channel has its own optical indicator through a LED. Through 4 additional Status-LEDs the state of the module is allways readable.
By mounting the module on to a top-hat rail the installation is very simple. You may order the needed
rail in our shop, too.
An external 12V to 30V power supply is not needed to operate this module, but recommended. Also these power supplies may be ordered at our house. You may choose between our
12V/3A or
24V/2A.
Several modules of the same type are applicable:You can use up to 16 modules at the same time with the help of a DIP switch, so you can choose a module adress between 0 ... 15. The software is able to identify each module trough the module adress.
Software supportThe USBOPTO64IN module is supported by the QLIB (QUANCOM Driver Library) and allows you a simple programming under Windows 7 / Vista / XP / 2000 / Server 2k-2008 R2 / NT 4.0 / 95 / 98 / ME / 3.11, Agilent VEE and Labview. There is no annoying installation of the drivers necessary because of the software port QLIB.
You don't need any knowlege of driver installation anymore. With QLIB you can easily create applications with Visualstudio.NET, Visual Basic, Visual-C, Borland Delphior other compilers or interpreters. You can also import data to MS Excel, MS access, Labview or Agilent VEE. The Visual Basic example is a small testing programm which allows you to check all relevant functions of the card. Additionally it is a good starting point for own projects.
It is possible to employ the card in all applications which are able to call an external DLL function because QLIB is an API and has its programming port in DLL.
You can use the same instructions on all supported operating systems. If you created an application on WIndows 95 you can immediatly use it on Windows XP.
The driver of Linux contains also an software port which is very close to QLIB. You can compile your Windows examples without having any problems under Linux.
USBOPTO64IN is also available as
USBOPTO64OUT and
USBREL64 .
